GENERAL
DESCRIPTION:
2 BOAT OWNER!
The owners have purchased a housboat because the husband has lost
almost all of his sight so they now need a boat without stairs
for his safety.
Most of their boating has been done in the 1,000 Islands, Kingston,
Lake Ontario and Bay Of Quinte waters.
They have enjoyed about 60 hours of travel on this boat since
they bought the boat it in 2012. They added 450 watt - 25 amp
solar panels, a 2800 watt inverter connected to all outlets, a
125 amp battery charger, 4 L16 house batteries, 2 new starting
batteries recently, a 3000 watt Honda generator 2 years ago ..
and numberous other upgrades totalling about $18,000 since they
bought the boat ... and it is now equipped for convenient use
of longer voyages or for sitting at anchor for extended periods.
The engines have closed cooling making the boat usable in fresh
or salt water and all servicing has been done by professional
marine technicians.
Being a 2001 model the boat has a spacious swim platform and fiberglass
integrated stairs with a railing to the rear cockpit area. There
are integrated stairs from there to the helm as well ... and generous
hand rails make moving from the rear cockpit to the bow very easy
and safe. The helm has newer electronics including radar, autohelm,
GPS and VHF.
The leather couch in the salon fold out to become a double bed,
the galley is equipped with an ac/dc refridgerator, microwave,
coffee maker and electric range. The galley offers many generous
storage spaces. The front berth is equipped with a hanging locker
and other storage space, the aft cabin has 2 hnging lockers and
generous storage. There is a black and a white privacy screen
that mounts across the forward salon windows.
The boat shows very clean since their personal effects have been
removed and is offered at a terrific price point of just $54,900.00
in Canadian dollars.
Similar boats without most of the equipment above are currently
priced at $58,000 and higher in U.S. dollars ... and those boat
will cost extra to get to Canadian waterways.
