GENERAL
DESCRIPTION:
We received this boat on a trailer on July 6th. We noticed no
sign of damage or repairs to the hull anywhere.
The boat is properly equipped with the ever-popular 5.7 Mercruiser
engines and Alpha 1 stern drives. The boat starts easily and runs
smooth.
The syncrometer works and there is a new Helix GPS/Fishfinder/Depth
Meter just installed by Crates in Belleville last week when the
gimble bearings and impellors were changed.
The top, windows, screens, cockpit carpet and upholstery were
replaced 5 years ago and show no sign of damage or wear. The upholstery
in the cabin was replaced as well and the floor carpet
has the original factory carpet covering still on it. The woodwork
in the cabin is as it should be ... no sign or damage ... no repairs
needed in the cabin that we could see anywhere.
The cockpit area is the same ... in no need of repair anywhere
... the guages and trim tabs work as they should and the stern
drives raise and lower as they should.
Notice the size of the fridge/freezer in this boat!
The helm and passenger seat can face forward ... or to the stern
for entertaining! The rear cockpit seat will accomodate 5 adults
comfortably ... and under every seat is tremendous storage space.
The anchor, chain and rode, fenders, lines, flare kit, life-ring
with throw rope, a stern anchor, air horn and a medical safety
kit are all onboard as are a couple of extra lines.
In short ... this is a turn-key boat with no sign of necessary
work reqired ... but the grey striping is in need of a compound
and wax treatment.
Yes ... there are 1988 boats of this size for sale for abit less
... but not with every seat cushion in perfect condition ... carpetting
in perfect condition, a top and windows and screens
in perfect condition ... and with the amount of recent mechanical
upgrades done by Crates in Belleville in the last 2 years. The
survey done in September of 2020 is onboard
as are all the receipts for work performed. Even the power hatch
over the engines has been recently serviced and works as it should.
THIS ... is a must see boat!
